Asia went to her new forever home today, with her new mom Mary and her fur-sister Gracie. Asia will have a fenced yard to run around in, AND get daily walks. Whoever dumped her on the road didn't know what a great dog they lost. Pictures to follow.

Called Mary on Wed. night to wee how Asia was doing, and things are going great. The two dogs like each other and Asia is very gentle with Gracie. Mary said how she gave both dogs a chewie bone and the ended up sharing instead of guarding thier own bone. When one quit chewing on thiers, the other one took over. She will send updates.

Hi Dawn, we are doing fine. We were in the yard most of the day raking and spring cleaning. I tired her out because she stayed awake for all of it.
We're in the den now and she's sleeping. I have her leashed to the table while I'm in here so she stays with Gracie and me. Otherwise she might be downstairs and I want her to get used to me and the other pupper. I take her for a walk every day and she really likes that. Just now before I came upstairs to go on line I stood by the front door and she got excited because she thought we were going then. I'm still a mess from working in the yard so we have to go a little later.
She's eating well and likes her treats. I feed them in the morning and in the evening. She's very good with Gracie. A little pushy but not aggressive. I tell her no and she stops.
She cowers at most everything but she's slowly coming out of that. I sort of joke with her when she's afraid as if to say Oh come on, you don't have to be afraid. I pet her and tell her she's a good girl. She waits for Gracie to go out to piddle before she will go. I tell her good girl after she goes so I hope she goes all the time on her own soon. We've had a few accidents. It's because her stool is loose and we don't have a routine yet. She's had a couple of normal bowel movements but most have been loose. I think it's nerves but it could be the food and water. I have a good Bissel carpet cleaner so it's not really a problem. I know she doesn't mean to go inside. She's very smart. She knows down and sit. I have to use a very high friendly voice but she does respond.
I make her sit before she eats and now when she wants something she'll sit. It's cute.
She smiled once at me and she's making eye contact. She's barked once or twice at noise and she runs like a deer. Really strong and fast.
She does like her crate. She sleeps in my bedroom and goes in it on her own. I take her outside first thing so we're getting used to that.
She is a great dog!! I thank you for taking care of her while she was homeless. I can't imagine a worse place for her to come from but not a better place to go to. You and the rest of the helpers have hearts of gold. I can't thank you enough. I'll send pictures soon. Can you put this in as an update?
Otherwise I'll figure it out and copy and paste. Have a good evening and I hope all is well with your Ali too. Talk soon, Mary and Gracie and Asia.
