Poor Cinderella was born into an overpopulated world. She was loved at some point, but like Cinderella in the fairy tale, things didn't work out so well for her.
Cinderella was found today outside a doctor's office. She is very emaciated, weighing in at 2.75 pounds and she is over 6 months of age. She should weigh at LEAST 5 pounds, probably should weigh closer to 7. She is literally skin and bones. She came in dehydrated and skinned up, missing part of her tail, and limping due to a sore on her back leg. Yet she still purrs every time she is touched, no matter what is being done to her.
Cindy had to donate a blood sample for a feline leukemia and AIDs test, which was negative, and a CBC, which was remarkably better than expected. She was also given subcutaneous fluids twice to help rehydrate her. She was an angel for everything. I can't imagine how uncomfortable she must be having no padding to cover any of her bones. Luckily she is eating well and will slowly put on some weight.
Cindy will not be available for adoption until after she is healthy enough to be spayed, which is likely to take at least a month or more. So please keep Cindy in your thoughts and prayers and come back frequenly to check how she is doing. I will continue posting updates as she gets better.
