Dear RPSM Friends,
You might remember me; I graduated from the RPSM prison program last August and was adopted by Katy and Jeff. I am very happy in my new forever home and had no idea that I would be joining such a large and fun family, full of loving aunts, uncles, cousins (both human and canine) and my grandma Pat, who just adores me. I got to spend the whole day with her once and she was lots of fun. She played with me and let me lay on any piece of furniture I wanted! Here's a picture of me, grandma, and all my cousins and one of me and my canine cousin Benny:

The only thing missing from my new family is my grandpa John. Christmas is a little sad this year because he passed away in March before I got a chance to meet him. My family has told me lots of stories about him this Christmas season— stories about what a wonderful, kind, sweet man he was and how he always took care of everybody. He loved dogs, too, and even once had a Basset Hound named Baxter, just like the one who is now in the program. That’s a true story. Can you believe it?!
Anyway, everyone misses Grandpa John very much and they tell me that adding me to the family has been a bright spot in this otherwise sad year. And since we aren’t able to buy Grandpa any presents this year, we decided to take up a collection and make a donation to the RPSM prison program in his name, which you will receive in the mail very soon. Grandpa John liked bringing joy to other people (and dogs) and we hope this gift will help make that happen for others, as it did for me and my new family.
Happy holidays to you and everyone associated with RPSM!
Sincerely yours,
Sam
