Just an update and to send you the pictures. First and foremost Cinnamon is the most wonderful dog in the world!!! Very well behaved and so sweet! smile.gif She seems to love my rabbit and absolutely LOVES my neice and nephew!! She's fit into our family quite well!! Today we went to the pet store and I let her pick out some toys and a bone. I got her the most awesome leash and collar at the expo. I'll have to take a picture of her in it! It's a brown & green paw print matching set. And I was even amazed to find her a matching bowls! smile.gif She walked around very proud once I put it on! She got a bath yesterday and behaved SO well.. definitely a great find and perfect dog for us!

Vanessa & John

P.S we cant seem to agree on a name change yet so she's Cinnamon for now! haha

Hi Maddie,

Yes, we still love her very much so after a week!! And her new name is Isabel (Izzy for short).. she went out the barn yesterday for her first time and was fantastic! She even got a little 'agility' on us and was jumping over the horse jumps! I may get her into agility once I get out school as a hobby for her and me! smile.gif She seemed to really like it. Plus we were able to let her run at the farm and had no problems with her returning to us/running away. We will continue to solidify that so it will get even better! I brought my cats up from school and we are making progress on getting them to living happily ever after. She's fine its just my cats need to learn that they need to sit still and not run. Running then causes a chase! haha.. its all good though. Izzy's doing great!

We had a great Thanksgiving and hope you did too!

I'll send more pictures as we get them!

Hi Maddie!

I just wanted to give you an update on our Isabel (Izzy).. I believe I had mentioned to you last time I spoke that she had been playing a little too rough with the cats and somehow managed to get a neck 'injury'.. we did end up taking her to the vet. She got better but then got worse again. They did xrays of her hips, spine and neck and came up inconclusive. The vets felt that she just sprained/strained some part of her neck. They gave us muscle relaxers and steroids for her. She responded VERY well to this treatment and within a week was back up to her same Izzy! She goes back for a check up next week.

She had a very good Christmas.. got some bones and toys from Santa and my mom "grandma" showered her also. We even took her back up to Clio for a family gathering and she showed everyone what a great breed a Doberman is and what a great dog she is! Everyone couldn't believe how well behaved (even with 2 other dogs, and about 20 people) she was with all the chaos and food! haha.. She's visited both farms where I kept my horses over break and she gets so excited upon arriving at the farm she does that whimper with excitement sound. Its quite fun and heartwarming to see and knows she genuinely loves being there! Not to mention she gets spoiled by all the girls there!!

Anyways, Izzy was very sad to see me return to Ohio. John says she sits in our bay window that overlooks the driveway looking for me. John is going to try to come down to visit this weekend if the weather calms down and she will be in tow! I miss her as well!!

Hope you had a great holiday!
Vanessa

I attached some pictures I took of Izzy in the snow!
