Macabee has started his new life with Mimi, He will have a canine brother Louie to learn the ropes from. We cant wait to hear updates and see pictures of Mac in his new home.

He is as everyone says a real sweetheart.
Oh, I weighed him yesterday after breakfast. He is just under 23 lbs. I have a real doctors scale so I know it is accurate
Macabeeis adjusting beautifully and is ready to be part of our pack. Louie is really jealous. Syd came over to take him for a walk. He came back saying Louie was weird. He hardly moved going out and clearly wanted Syd to turn around and go home. Syd said he practically dragged him. I think he just didn't want to leave me alone with Macabee.
There may have been a break though last night. Together they "chased" deer away from the yard. The deer run behind our fenced yard and together the "boys" ran and barked them away. Mac, however continued to look outside and bark to make sure he had chased all the deer. Macabee goes in and out with Louie. So far he does not stay in the yard without him. I think that will change when he is more secure. He also follows me everywhere in the house. I now let him on the chairs and couch. He thinks it is unfair that the bed is off limits.
So far he had not paid much attention to commands except sit. I think he is ready for an inside training session later today.
Clearly someone has been feeding him at the table. He sits there staring at me the whole time I am eating. I do not feed dogs at the table. But in the doggy world hope springs eternal.
My 6 yr old grand daughter was over for the day. Macabee was fine with her but clearly preferred the adults.

Macabee is well integrated into the household. I have decided not to worry about the wrestling. I just make them stop when it gets on my nerves.
I thought Louie needed an alone walk with me today so i left the little one with Syd.
He said Macabee staid by the door upstairs and cried for 20 minutes. Was it for me or Louie or both??
