Gracie
Graice was found by animal control. At only 6mths of age she was left tied to a tree without food, shelter or water. She was an emaciated mess. After weeks of nursing her back to health she is now ready for training in the Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan Canine Correctional Companion Program.
Your generous donation will be used to sponsor Gracie during her training in the program.
This program could not be a success without caring people such as you. We are sure you understand the benefits of this type of program. The adopters of these once homeless pets, report how wonderful they are. The prison dog handlers do an amazing job. We have a graduation ceremony at the end of each three month training period. At the graduation ceremonies, each handler gets an opportunity to show what each canine has been taught. Words can not express how proud these trainers are. Each trainer gets an award and picture of them with the canine they have trained. It is really amazing to see these grown men in tears and the sense of pride that shows on their face is indeed priceless. They take these once homeless dogs that need training, someone to teach them manners, and help them become well-behaved pets. We all feel sense of accomplishment with this worth while program. It is truly a reason to rejoice.
