A man found two dogs on his way home from work today and had no way of taking them home with him. Animal Control was already closed, so we took the dogs in for the weekend. Animal Control will be called on Tuesday to come pick them up.

The dogs were found near Center. Neither one is wearing a collar and they are not microchipped.

Male - grey/tan scruffy fur

Female - black and redish, kind of longer fur

Both have a significant amount of tartar on their teeth, so I guess they are at least around 6 years or older.

I am unable to care for any more strays at this time. I feel bad for sending them to Animal Control, but I will not take them home. I don't have the funds and am quite stressed with trying to find a home for me and my animals that I already have. Let alone adding more fosters to it.

I called animal control Tuesday morning and they knew whose dogs we must have had. Their dad came and picked them up about an hour after I called over there.

So, happy ending, the pooches, Einstein and Shelby, are back with their family.
