Bullet was injured on February 15th and suffered a severe fracture of his right front leg. His owners were unable to afford the needed surgery and had taken him to be euthanized. Fortunately for Bullet and us the veterinarian advised the owner he felt he may be able to find a rescue to take Bullet and have his leg repaired.

The fracture involved the elbow joint and quite literally destroyed the joint. He underwent surgery on February 19th and again on February 22nd to place pins and wires to hold the bones in place while they healed. Since then Bullet has been at Mapleview Animal Hospital, he will be able to come home on March 15th, after a months stay.

Bullet's recovery is going well and we have high hopes he will regain almost all of the use of his leg. Bullet will come home on the 15th and continue his recovery here for the next few months. Bullet is currently in the care of
HalfWay Home Rescue. Halfway Home Rescue have opened their hearts to numerous special needs pets. Even though the vet care is quite costly.
