Sweet Shayla (as i know her) took the long run into the Sky Sunday morning.

I just got the email from her fosterer tonight. (The same person who also fosters Koli sometimes.)

I had hoped to possibly foster this girl so that she could get some quality rest time. She wasn't doing so well in a large pack. ...but her health failed quickly. She was taken good care of though in her final weeks.

I know i never talked about her on the board here, but this girl had a HUGE place in my heart. I just wanted to share her beautiful self with you.

I'm glad she was able to find a loving foster for her last days.

How wonderful that she was able to be loved and meet caring people like you. She looks like she was such a good girl, she's happy and painfree now, as you know she is. *HUG*

I am so glad this sweet girl had love and comfort in her final days. Just makes me want to cry to think of the unfortunate situation that could have taken that dignity away from her. Thanks to all the caring people who give so much of themselves to make sure that wonderful animals like this have what they need and deserve.

P.s. I should have added that i thought she reminded me much more of a GSD in personality than the Mal she supposedly ;-) was. I'd call her a GSD at heart. (I didn't know this girl in her younger healthier years though so who am i to judge?)
