Whereas, the State of Michigan allows County and City governments to sell unclaimed animals from animal shelters to hospitals, universities and USDA Class B Dealers for use as research subjects, in experiments conducted by private for profit corporations, product testing, as well as other research and research institutions,

The undersigned petitions the State of Michigan as follows:

Immediately cease all sales of live animals from Michigan to research institutions, hospitals, universities and USDA Class B Dealers.
