Our poor Rinny was pulled from Genesee County Animal Control, If he could talk he could
tell us what happened to him.. But we suspect he was used as a bait dog and lucky enough to
get away.. He is on the way to recovery.. His neck and ear are both healing well, but more
bad news for sweet Rinny He tested Positive for Heart Worm... Both Vondo and Rinny had their
first Treatment Today... 2/14/96 and will have their second 2/15/06.
We believe their was an angel on Rinny Shoulder, to bring him to Safety and to us.. Please also
add him to your prayers..
We know he will make somebody a loyal and beautiful shepherd once he is heart worm free and
his hair grows back
We are a very small rescue, and the Heart worm Treatment is expensive If you can help by
sponsoring Rinny... Please Send Check or Money order

Both Rinny and Vondo have had their heart worm treatment.. $250 each We were able to raise about $150 so we still have quite a ways to go.. But both Guys came through with flying colors.. They do have to have limited activity... for the next few weeks... and then poor Rinny will just have to be neutered to be ready for his new life..

What a smart looking guy he is, Sherri! I know he understands what's going on and he deserves so much more than what he's gotten out of life so far. Thank God you found him, i hope he finds his lifelong family right away!

I have been watching Rinny's story play out for a while now, on this message board as well as on petfinder, and I am wondering if or when you think he is going to go up for adoption.
I would love to fill out an adoption application, but I cannot adopt a dog for another month or so (after I settle a bit into my new home.) Anyway, he seems like an incredibly beautiful and sweet dog. I'm sure he'll find a great home soon, and if he doesn't find one too soon, I'll definitely apply!
Part of me hopes he's still around when I'm ready to adopt,
but there's another larger part of me that hopes he finds his forever home sooner rather than later.
Good luck and Take care,
Emily (

Rinny goes in for his last part of the treatment for heart worm. . and then depending on what the vet thinks the time for recover he will need to be neutered and his ear repaired... I have not spoke to his foster mom yet, to see what the vet had to say as about an estimated time for his neuter and ear repair..
