Lucas is 6 year old, with a great out look on life. He gets along great with children and is good with other dogs and cats. Since Lucas is an owner release we were able to find out that Lucas was diagnosed with Perianal Fistulas (PF) in May of 2005. He is not currently symptomatic and in discussing his condition with the vets it was decided to treat his condition with a Prednisone, 5 mg. tablets 1/2 tablet daily... and a good quality food.

Lucas has had no symptons of PF since May of 2005. Our vet believe with a diet of healthy dog food chicken Soup, and the Prednisone, 5 mg. tablets 1/2 tablet daily that the PF is under control and may not cause any problems in the future..

Sherri,
I am so excited to be Lucas' new adoptive "Mom". I can't wait until he arrives at his new home this Saturday. He already has his Chicken Soup Dog Food, Kong toys and a new bed waiting for him. He is so beautiful and I know he will fit nicely in with his new canine and feline family. Thanks again to Dawn and Maddie for meeting me this past Saturday. You both are providing a wonderful service to all of these beautiful Gods creatures. I will send pictures of our new boy as soon as he arrives. Thanks again.

Christine,
You will not be disappointed with Lucas, Both Lucas and Mason have the best temperments and easy going nature that I have seen. Which is so surpising since they were in a pen for most of their lifes.
Lucas's Brother Mason was adopted by Karen, and is her constant companion and working on becoming a Theraphy dog. Lucas is such a sweet love bug he has stolen all our hearts.. I can honestly say if I did not do rescue and thier was not so many in need, he would of stayed with me always.

I have asked Dawn to take lots of pictures, when Lucas starts his new life.. And please continue to share his life with us.. He is so very awesome.. and truly every thing a German Shepherd stands for. Loyality Diginty and a true Gentle Giant.

Thanks Becky. This is Lucas' 4th day at home and he gets better everyday. He is outside playing in the snow with my husband and one of our other dogs, Maggie. He is such a gem. I feel so fortunate to have him in my life.
