Sweet Little Lilah left here today to go to her new forever home, and of course I sent her off with tears in my eyes. They were a mixture of sad and happy tears, mostly happy though, cause I know she is with great parents. The love they have for Maggie was evident the minute they walked in the door and I knew immediately that I wanted them to be Lilah's new parents. They fell in love with Lilah right away too, and she picked them right away to be her new parents. Andy, Amanda, and thier fur-kid Maggie, now have a sweet little girl to share their love with. They brought Maggie along to see how the two girls would get along, and it was love at first sniff!!!

Maggie is a beautiful, tri-Colored, 7month old, Australian Sheperd: and Lilah is (also beautiful - but I'm not predjudiced, am I?) a black and tan, 1year old, German Sheperd/Husky Mix. Lilah has the energy, and the stamina of a Husky, so these two girls will keep each other busy and happy. They really gave each other a workout in my back yard today. It was pure joy watching them tumble around in the snowy yard together. I have to admit though that the house seemed awful quiet and a little empty after they left, and my three dogs were immediately looking around for Lilah. The happiness I feel for Lilah right now though helps a lot.

Another sign that she had already decided that she was a member of their family, was when she got into their truck. She made sure that her parents and sister were all in, but didn't check to see where I was!!! She just went to the driver's side window, plunked her butt down, and started looking out the window. She was all set to go wherever HER family was going. I know she wasn't being ungrateful to me, she was just so happy to have the feeling of belonging to her OWN family.

Thank you again Andy, Amanda, and Maggie for taking Lilah into your hearts, and all the love you will give her. I know she is in the right place for her. Keep us updated on her progress, and send lots and lots of pictures of all of you. We never, never get tired of updates.

Andy and Amanda, Thank You for chosing adoption and giving Lilah her forever home.
Every time someone such as yourselves choses adoption that is another life saved, and
another hit to the bottom line of a puppy mill. Also, you have made Lilah extremely happy
having HER home and family to begin the new year in and with. Please keep us updated and with pictures if possible.

What a wonderful happy ending! Dawn knows Lilah had a special place in my heart from the start and I am so glad that she is now with her forever family. You just know in your heart when the right people come along to adopt that things are going to be ok now for them. That they never again will be left on the streets in the cold without anyone to love and care for them. Thanks for taking her in Dawn and thank you to the family for adopting her and giving her such a wonderful chance for a new life!
