Today, I visited the Genesee County Animal Control to find some information about adoption. My husband and I bought a new house, and so we are looking to make it a home by adopting a dobe. We haven't taken posession of the house yet, but we will be on 10/11, so I wanted to do as much research as possible before we get a new dog.
At the shelter, I saw more than 5 dobermans. All looked pure. Yet one is haunting me. This dog looked very, VERY, ill. Its eyes were swollen and it was dirty and skinny. Still, when I spoke to this little angel, she painfully moved over to rub against my hand. It took all I had to not break down and cry because of the pain this beautiful creature was in.
SOMEONE IF YOU GET THIS MESSAGE AND YOU ARE ABLE TO SAVE THIS DOG PLEASE PLEASE DO IT!!
I feel like I have to do something for her. I want to adopt her SOOOOO badly, but I can't. We will be living in this apartment for almost another month before we get our house. I hope someone sees this and can help. I felt like I had to do SOMETHING TO SAVE HER. If you go there, just look for the dog in an end cage away from the entrance door on the bottom. You will know exactly who I am talking about.

Amy,
Relax Take deep breathe. We know about the dobes at Genesse, and our name is on the list. Arda will be picking 2 of them up today.. When dobes are brought in as strays they must stay a number of days called a stray hold this gives owners opportunity to pick them up.. We have pulled a number of dobes just recently from Genesse.. And their is a great rescue called K-9 Strays that pulls out of this Animal Control.
Thank you so much for caring about the dobes.. it really matters that you care. And we are always thankful for heads ups on dobes in need..
When you are ready for adoption.. Please feel free to fill out our application and I sure we will find you a dobe to match your needs..
Smile the Genesse Guys are save... and as soon as they will release them will be evaluated and vetted for adoption.
Thanks Again
Sherri
