My sister has rescued this senior this week. Her first from the pound.

I tell everyone about rescue. I'm very proud of my Dobie kids. I've told everyone how I looked into a breeder and I couldn't afford their prices so I looked up rescues and found Second Chance and how great my kids are even thou I may not know their entire history. What matters is that I know from the point I took them home I changed their history to something of having a loving family, warm bed, lots of love, food and to never know sadness again.

Yes, The reason I started this message board was to give adopters a chance to share their new pets story.. I been doing rescue for over 10 years and I have seen such improvement.. I can not begin to tell you how many people have chosen rescue because of friends and neighbors sharing their story..

Love wins over greed

Doc,

Congrat's to your sister and her first rescue! Precious little boy/girl? May they have many great years together!

Heck, talked my mom and brother into it!

My brother was the hardest as he waited a very long time to get his own place and when he finally did he wanted a dog "now" He kept saying: I can get a dog for 300. I saw an add in the paper" I kept saying PLEASE< NO that is a back yard breeder.

I Finally, found a young male at a high kill shelter and NOW< My brother is like
" Sis, I can not believe I got a full blood and when it was all said and done, (after refund of the neuter) I only paid 45. I love this dog! AND I saved his life!"

Yeap! Rescue the only way to go!
