Well the Bookman gang has added Myles to our family. He's a 7 month old red and rust Dober boy. We went to SCD looking to fill a huge void in our family our Sam left. We fell in love with Myles, our youngest son Kyle couldn't stop telling me reasons to pick him. He was so excited he just kept telling me all Myles good qualities. He thinks Myles will be easy to train and he already knows sit. I'm thinking that underneath it all he's really hopeing Myles will sleep in his room. He said Sams snores kept him awake, Dakota wont lay down so they always ended up back with mom and dad. Our Dakota has done a little turn around she had stopped eating a few days after Sam died now that we have Myles she eats her food. I think its got something to do with I'm eating my food before he does.

Congrats to you and Myles, he has a forever home and you and your husband and son will have a lifetime loyal friend. tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif
I have seen for myself dogs do grieve for a lost friend. Dakota missed Sam and
quit eating. When Liberty our Gordon Setter died, Shannon and Annie both searched the house for her for weeks, didnt eat normal and were just in a very
sad frame of mind. Four months later we brought the Granny Setter home and they finally got back to normal. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Oh Kelly I am so very happy for you and your family.. Even though Myles won't replace your love for Sam I am hoping he eases some of the pain. It honors Sam memory.

I hope Kyle ends up with a sleeping buddy, and a best friend that only a boy and his dog can be. Dakota will have a companion to keep her on her toes and young and active.. With the travel that the service take your family, Myles can become the constant buddy in Kyle's life.

We can't wait to see pictures. And hear about the your new state..

Thank you for opening your hearts and home to yet another homeless boy..
