Our sweet lovable Winnie's day came today, When she won the hearts of her new family Michael and Gail Gesselman. She will be blessed with a boy of her very to play with and love. Michael was hoping for a good walking partner, and we know that Winnie will enjoy this and make her new owners very proud of how smart and sweet she is. Love makes the difference in any dogs life. They don't come much more lovable than our little Winnie.
Michael and Gail have honored their former dog Mindy by yet opening their hearts and home to another formerly homeless and unloved girl. We are sure she is smiling down from the bridge, Even though we know Winnie will not replace the Love the Gesselman's had for their beloved Mindy but we hope she eases the pain of their loss.

Thank you for being Winnie Hero!!!

Gail promised to keep let us know how Winnie Adjusts and does in her New Life full of Love

Thanks Michelle & Rusty!

"Whinnie" is adjusting well. She happens to be lying at my feet while I type this message to you!

We've been trying to come up with a different name for her, but still haven't found that perfect fit yet. We're working on it though! She's such a sweetie! And... she's very lovable and seems contented!

We are hoping for many years together with her!

Her foster mom "Sherri" took great care with her, and even though it's always hard to part, hug.gif we too will provide the best we can for her! biggrin.gif

God's blessings to you all!

With a smile:)

Hello Doc & Sharon and Shannon, Annie & "The Granny Setter" Belle!

Thank you very much for your sentiments regarding "Whinnie". She's a beautiful young lady, and it's sad that people just don't take the care with 'their' pets that they should. ermm.gif

At least "Whinnie" fell into loving arms and a great rescue from Sherri Trimble. biggrin.gif We met Sherri yesterday over to Bay City, and you can tell right off, she's truly an animal lover!

We are very fortunate to have come across "Whinnie" (which we're thinking of changing her name, but we just haven't come up with that pefect fit yet), and anyway, when we found "Whinnie" on Petfinder.com it was a hopeful chance that we might be the ones to adopt her! smile.gif

We'll keep in touch!

Wishing you all a great summer!
God's Blessings,
Gail & Michael, sons Michael and David

biggrin.gif Thanks Sherri for the wonderful sentiments to us in regards to "Whinne's" new adoption! We appreciate you taking the time to open your heart and home as foster care for "Whinnie". She is adjusting VERY well to her new home and family! She loves to go for walks! She's been on 2 so far, and her tale just wags and wags, and her big floppy ears fly in the breeze! She stays close to us, and everyone gives her great attention! Trust me, she eats that right up! Speaking of eating, she definitely has an appetite, and is eating with no problem. She had her first bath! mad.gif She wasn't too excited about it, but boy oh boy does she sure smell pretty and her fur is as soft as a feather!

Also, just to let you know, we have decided to change her name. The guy's thought of calling her "Yoda" because of her big floppy ears. But, I just couldn't accept that one as it seemed mean to me dry.gif even though they thought it was a cool name. So. we tossed around a bunch of other names and came up with "Sandy", as it seems to fit her with her beautiful Blonde hues of hair! smile.gif Everybody agreed, and so now she is learning her new name!

By the way, I tried leaving you a reply message yesterday, but for some reason it didn't take. Well, just know, she is adjusting well, hug.gif as we are too, and we're glad to have her in our family!

You are a great person Sherri, and it takes special people like you, to help out these poor neglected stray's, and to find them happy-loving homes!

Wishing you God's blessings, and a beautiful summer! smile.gif

We will keep you posted on her life with us! smile.gif

With a smile:)

Thank you Gail, I think Sandy is a wonderful name for your new little girl.
I just new she would really enjoy walking and exploring her new neighborhood. And I know soon she will be learning more on how to play with toys. Your family as all adopters are the true hero's. You open your hearts and home to a lifetime commitment to a sad soul that has not had a great start in life. You will change the old wifes tails about dogs being homeless because of faults of their own with every new person Sandy meets..

After all a picture and meeting is worth a thousands words, and their is NO better way to show the world that these dogs do deserve a second chance and are worthy of a family to love. I can't not tell you how many new adopters contact me because of previous adopters.. With Adoption I gave you Sandy's voice, Please share that voice so others will be saved!!! And I pray one day None will be killed because of No Room..

Thank you again for loving Sandy..

Sherri!

Just wanted to let you know, "Sandy" (formerly Whinnie) is doing great! She's setteling in well, and is truly a sweetheart! We went to "Petsmart" the other night, and bought her a whole bag load of goodies; a soft pillow cushion for her bed, and a new light weight purple collar, her very own name tag with address and telephone number engraved, food, and some 'shed-less' shampoo/conditioner. She's not fond of 'fetch', so we didn't buy any toys. With our previous dog (Mindy) we would take an old clean sock and tie a knot in it, and play tug of war with her, and throw it and she'd fetch it and bring it back to us. So, we'll see as it goes, just what type of 'fun' stuff Sandy will like to do. Right now, the heat isn't anyone's friend. She really loves her walks! She'll hold her head up high and proud with her big ears just a flopping in the breeze. Her tail is up as high as it can stand, and she just runs and trots right along! She already knows stop, halt, stay, and come here! She came across 2 rabbits yesterday, and started to chase them, and rolled right over herself as she was on the let-out leash, and she came to the end of the15 feet. It was funny, you would of laughed at her, we did. She sat there, and looked at us as if to say; "Ah come on, I wanna chase the bunnies!" She's doing great! We just love her!

Well, I'll close for now, and wish you a good day! We will keep in touch from time to time!

WIth a smile

Happy New Year Greetings from "Sandy"! (The former Whinnie!)

Hello Sherri!
Remember me? I hope so!

I just wanted to say hello, and let you know that I've adjusted well to my new home and family!

We cuddle allot!

I'm not so sure I like my picture taken though, that flash thing bothers my eyes. But..... they love me and like to show me off!

Can you believe it...... I've been here with my new family for 6 months already!!!! Wow! I get lots of attention and petting and lap holding! Yeah... it's pretty cool!

Well, I just wanted to say 'woof', I mean hi. Hope all is well back in Bay City! My family's neighbor 'person' was born in Bay City. He's got a shie-itsu (spelling-sorry), little girl named Molly, and we sometimes hang out together in the yard when our human's visit with each other!

Take care! I'm doing fine!

Dear Gail and Sandy,

It does my heart good to see you happy and loved.. Just think when we first met you almost cost me
my Van.. by running out infront of it.. See I am like an elephant, I never forget those that take a piece of my heart.

I am thrilled to hear about your playmate Molly and all the love and attention your new family is giving you.
You be sure to be a very good girl for them.. and show them the unconditional love and sweetness that is yours to give..

I wish you a very happy New Year. Love the pictures.

It is updates such as yours that give the rescuers reason to continue doing what they do. Just seeing the happy life that Sandy has is more than ample reason to continue. Thanks for the update, and please keep them coming.
