Thank you everyone! I am really glad he came to us. He is a simply wonderful boy. I am floored that no one came to redeem him from the shelter....except for the fact it was apparent he had not had any vet care in sometime.

UPDATE FROM HOLLY



Here is a pic I took of him last year, he looks so handsome!!!!!! He turns 7 the end of this month............strange story, I ended up talking to his previous OWNER. VERY VERY STRANGE. His name use to be Cane. I found this all out late last fall. The woman who had him had gotten him from a breeder as a baby. She got pregnant, fell on hard times and was getting evicted out of her rental place. "Cane" was at home when the landlord came and he went out the front door. He is a RUNNER with a capital *R*. I mean, if he gets out, he turns DEAF. Anyway, someone at the shelter was also friends with the owner........and I now think about it, they were probably looking out the dog and hoping that Lucian "Cane" would go to a good home. Funny, no one told me either for quite a while!!!!!! So I ended up speaking to her (previous owner) via email and she's very happy he is safe and loved. I found out I was one year off on his birthday, so he's seven the end of this month. I did kind of hate finding out his "real" name since he had been with me for 8 months before I knew what it was. I decided to keep calling him Lucian though. He's my Lucian poo poo and he likes it when I call him that

I know EXACTLY what you mean, Holly! Jazzi kept her previous name (she was an owner surrender at the pound) but gained a middle name AND also has had several songs written just for her. She loves it when i sing them to her, i'll have to see if she likes Jazzi poo poo too!
