Darla's puppies, they born on February 17th without any problems. The first few days passed without any incident BUT on the 6th day we bagan to notice a strange odor about the puppies so they were taken to MapleView Animal Hospital to confirm our suspicions. Unfortunately our suspicions were confirmed - Darla had toxic milk and was actually poisioning her pupies. The outlook for these babies was not good as most puppies who have ingested this milk do not survive. Sadly we did lose 6 of the puppies. HOWEVER we have managed to save three of these wee ones and they are doing great being hand fed.
As you can imagine hand feeding puppies is very time consuming and expensive. They require very much the same care as newborn human babies with feedings all hours of the day and night. They require a special formula rich in protien and fats which will enable them to grow up big and strong. Currently we are not taking applications for the three puppies we have named Seamus, Season and Sebastian but we are looking for sponsors to help offset the expense of raising these wee ones. If you would like to be a sponsor for one or all of these sweet babies please drop us an email for information on how you can help. .

Who's puppies are these?? Are those pure bred dobies? They are so cute...wishing all the best for the little guys!!!

These puppies are in the care of Judy Peters at Halfway Home.. Judy rescues Pregnant moms, and puppies.. and has saved many that would not have stood a chance with out her.. Because she ends up delivering pups that sometime might need c-setions and then at least 8 to 10 weeks of care..

I was lucky enough to adopt Maggie (Season) and Cheyenne (Mae West) at the May 15th Petpalooza. It took 3 weeks but I finally got them to sit still long enough to take a picture.

Maggie is so sweet and enjoys being held. Cheyenne is also loveable and so well behaved.
