I think a good idea for a fundraiser for the organization would be to make homemade doggie treats and then have volunteers sell them at local bazaars around town. You could make money after you met your costs, or you could have people donate the supplies for making them and keep all the profits for the animals

Also, it's not really a fund raiser, but has anyone ever considered trying to get the Bay City Times to run an article about KBAF? We took Sea Biscuit (Sea-Be) to Pet Supplies Plus on Wilder today, and many people commented on him, and wondered where we had gotten him. I told him about the great people at KBAF. It's possible the Times would write an article for the paper telling what KBAF is, what it does, what kind of animals it adopts, and that donations are accepted (and for what purposes.) Might generate some great publicity!

I won't be in the area much longer, but I'd be more than happy to sit at a few bazaars or bake some doggie treats, after my work schedule gets ironed out in a few months.... What do you think of the idea?
