Thanks for all those great messages. We are already totally in love with Hans - (we will be re-naming him shortly and will let you know.)
We knew Hans was a Houdini with his collar, but didn't now his talent extended to opening the gate and getting out - but no problem, he was just visiting 3 doors down and he came right to us!!! We will have updated pix soon. Thanks again Arda and volunteers!!!!!

Hanz is very happy in his new home. He didn't eat the first week - but he's just fine now. He has adapted quite well and we're very happy to have him!! Thanks.

Deb,
It very normal during the adjustment period for the rescued dog not to eat much, they are nervous and scared.. These animals have not always had it easy, and they need to figure out that they are in a good place before they feel comfortable.
I am so glad Hans is happy, he has came from a long distance Alabama so let see how happy he is being a michiganer his first snow storm..
We would love to see pictures of him in his new home.. hint hint

Sherri - Kari is working on contacting the local animal shelters and she has been going through everything that had rott and dobe looks on petfinders. She said that there were 450 and that she would search again today. She also will hit a few of the small shelters today.
