We are having the same problem with Tasha, and she is not totally blind but has pannus.

She is beautiful

I think people are just intimidated to adopt a pet with seeing problems.... really though they can lead a normal life just like any other dog once they get acclimated to their environment.

Yup Tasha is a great girl. Loves other dogs, and all my cats. In fact one cat takes great delight in swatting at her as she tries to walk past him in a narrow place. Tasha just backs up and doesn't get upset.
