Orphan Animals
Our mission is helping homeless animals - both dogs and cats - with rescue (both life-threatening and non-threatening situations), medical care, vaccinations, fostering, rehabilitation and placement in permanent loving homes. To remove said animals from breeding cycle through sterilization surgery, there by, helping the community with pet over-population problem and maintaining good health and safety practices for the animals through vaccinations against diseases. We find new homes for many wonderful dogs and cats of all ages and sizes, both mixed breeds and purebreds. Our adoption procedures include screening and home visits of potential adopters. The organization does not have a shelter so pets are housed in private foster homes where they receive loving care until they are adopted into responsible and loving homes. All donations go directly to aid animals in need. Expenses are kept to a minimum. We may not be able to change the world but we can change the life of each dog or cat that we Rescue. (One Life at a Time!!) |

Muridae Haven Rescue
Muridae Haven was developed several years ago primarily as a rescue facility for rats and mice. Our numbers were small and we kept EVERY rescue that came to us. In the last year, we have had more and more requests and because of our own limitations, we have decided to become more of a foster facility and adopt out animals to deserving and loving homes. We have rehomed many little furries now and are grateful to all the open hearts and homes! We will continue to advocate responsible pet ownership and serve as a resource for guidance and assistance when needed! |

Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan (RPSM)
Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan (RPSM) was organized in spring of 2007 because of high euthanasia rates at Branch County Animal Control. A brilliant plan was later worked out where dogs would be given a second chance; with the assistance of the local prison complex, Lakeland and Florence Crane Correctional Facilities, the first and only stray shelter dog Correctional Companion Program in Michigan was implemented. The otherwise unwanted dogs are thoroughly vetted and vaccinated, and then, specially educated prisoners work to train and foster them. Upon successfully completing their tenure with the prisoners, the dogs are then adopted into loving families. |
